Valentine’s Week Is Here!

Valentine’s week is around the corner and love is in the air. Are you all set to celebrate it with your loved ones? Well, the concept of Valentine’s Day isn’t a new trend as, according to the history, it is originated from the Roman festival known as ‘Lupercalia’. People all around the world celebrate this week of love and romance with great zeal and enthusiasm by expressing their feelings to their loved ones. This week is also called the ‘Week Of Love’, which starts with the Rose Day on 7th Feb and end up with the Valentine’s Day on 14th Feb. The whole Valentine’s week consists of seven days, which has its own significance.

Here’s a list of days in Valentine’s week :

Rose Day

“If I had a rose for every time I thought of you, I’d be picking roses for a lifetime”. Rose Day marks the beginning of the Valentine’s week, which falls on 7th Feb. On this day, people express their feelings and shower love to their partners by exchanging roses. Be it red, white, yellow, pink, etc. Each color has its unique significance. While Red rose are always in demands as it stand for love and compassion. People also gift yellow roses to their friends and family.

Propose Day

“Will you make me the happiest man alive?” 8th of Feb is the ‘Propose Day’. What would be the other best day, rather than this, to declare what you feel? This day is a great opportunity for the lovers to kneel down and confess their love. On this day, people also make marriage proposals.

Chocolate Day

“True happiness will be found only in true love but a chocolate can deliver it”. Chocolate Day is the third and sweetest Day on the whole Valentine’s Day week list. It brings another meaningful reason to celebrate love by treating your partners with chocolates. Everyone has different tastes, so keeping in mind this, there are varieties of chocolates available in the market like dark chocolate, white chocolate, etc.

Teddy Day

“You’re just like a teddy… warm, sweet and cuddles too”. Then comes the Teddy Day when love – struck couples exchange Teddy, the most adorable and ‘fluffiest’ thing on the planet. Teddy is somehow happiness and can instantly bring smile to one’s face. So, it is a perfect gift for someone you love to show how much you care and adore them.

Promise Day

“I promise you no matter what happens I will be there, with you always”. 11th Feb is the Promise Day. People celebrate this day by making promises and taking owes to their partners for their happy and prosperous love life. Commitment is an important aspect in any kind of relationship. Also, it makes the relationship stronger. So, it is the best time to express that you’re with them always even through the thick and thin.

Hug Day

“One of the best feeling in the world is when you’re hugging the person you love, and when they hug you even tighter”. Next comes the Hug Day, which is on 12th of Feb. It is said that hugging is a therapy that can heal almost everything. On this day, people celebrate their love by giving warm hugs to their loved ones. It makes them feel special.

Kiss Day

“I never thought that love could feel like this, when you changed my world with just one kiss”. 13th Feb is the Kiss Day. People all around the world celebrate this day of love by stealing a kiss. It is the best way to convey your feelings, you can’t put into words. After all, kiss is the silent language of love.

Valentine’s Day

“Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by yourself alone”. Then comes the most awaited day in the Valentine’s week, i.e. Valentines Day, which is celebrated on 14th Feb. This day is also called ‘Saint Valentine’s Day’ or the ‘Feast Of Saint Valentine’, and is celebrated in the honour of ‘Saint Valentine’. This day is said to be the festival of love and romance. On this day, people exchanges cards, letters, candies, gift, etc. to their partners. They also go for a romantic dinner.
